What is As-Built Documentation?
As-built documentation captures and records the actual, current state of a building or facility—as it exists today, rather than how it was originally designed. Over time, buildings undergo changes through renovations, tenant improvements, and modifications that may not be reflected in original drawings.
Our as-built documentation process uses 3D laser scanning to capture precise measurements, then produces 2D CAD drawings (floor plans, elevations, sections) and/or 3D models that accurately represent existing conditions. This documentation supports renovation planning, facility management, and maintaining accurate building records.
Unlike traditional hand measurement, laser scan-based as-built documentation captures comprehensive data quickly and accurately. The resulting drawings include architectural elements, MEP systems, structural features, and spatial relationships as they actually exist.
